Nanozyme chemiluminescence paper test for rapid and sensitive detection of SARS-CoV-2 antigen

COVID-19 has evolved into a global pandemic. Early and rapid detection is crucial to control of the SARS-CoV-2 transmission. While representing gold standard for early diagnosis, nucleic acid tests are often complicated time-consuming. Serological antibody characterized by high rates false-negative diagnoses, especially during infection. Here, we developed novel nanozyme-based chemiluminescence paper assay sensitive spike antigen, which integrates nanozyme enzymatic immunoassay with lateral flow strip. The core our test robust Co–[email protected] that catalyzes comparable natural peroxidase HRP thus amplifies immune reaction signal. limit recombinant antigen was 0.1 ng/mL, linear range 0.2-100 ng/mL. Moreover, sensitivity pseudovirus could reach 360 TCID50/mL, ELISA method. strip recognized specifically, there no cross other coronaviruses or influenza A subtypes. This testing can be completed within 16 min, much shorter compared usual 1-2 h required currently used tests. Furthermore, signal feasible using camera smartphone. Ingredients synthesis simple readily available, considerably lowering overall cost. In conclusion, provides high-sensitive point-of-care (POCT) approach detection, should greatly facilitate screening infections, lower financial burden on national healthcare resources.
